Jamie Cernek (pronouns she/her) is the Policy and Advocacy Staffer with Equal Hope, where she works closely with community members and stakeholders to build grassroots support for equitable health policy. Jamie coordinates Equal Hope’s annual policy agenda and staffs the Advocacy Council, which is a group of community members with ties to breast and cervical cancer who advocate and organize for quality, equitable health policy at the state and local levels.
Jamie is an attorney and community organizer with over four years of policy, legislative, electoral, and organizing experience. She graduated from Georgetown University Law Center with a Juris Doctor in 2020 and McGill University with a Bachelor of Arts in Honors Political Science in 2017. She was admitted to the Illinois Bar in January 2021.
