Associate Director, Consortium

Carla Amato-Martz, JD, LCSW is the Associate Director of the Chicago Breast Cancer Quality Consortium. Carla develops and manages the Consortium’s portfolio of studies on breast cancer screening, diagnosis and treatment quality measures, mammography capacity surveys and breast cancer care processes in Chicago and statewide. In addition, she contributes to writing reports to the community and articles in scholarly journals on the results of Consortium studies.

Carla has 7 years of experience in oncology clinical trial development and management of oncology comparative effectiveness studies. She coordinated the writing and publication of Operative Standards for Cancer Surgery, Vol. 1 (K. Hunt and H. Nelson eds., 2015). Carla earned a certificate in Clinical Research Methods from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health, a master’s degree in social work from Loyola University Chicago and a law degree from DePaul University.
