Paris is the Director of Program Operations at Equal Hope with a wealth of hands-on experience managing multiple healthcare projects, programs, and services. As the Manager of Equal Hope, Paris is responsible for the day-to-day duties associated with maintaining the navigation programs in addition to prospecting new opportunities and writing grants to support patient navigation and outreach. She is also responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Equal Hope stakeholders and partners. Paris works with the Program Team to think strategically about how the Task Force can interact with the public and with women in high breast and other diseases mortality areas to encourage access to and utilization of healthcare services in a manner that leads to the completion of preventive healthcare services and diagnostic follow up when needed.
Before joining Equal Hope, Paris worked for the Quality Innovation Network -Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO) for the state of Illinois. In this role, she was responsible for executing quality improvement strategies and providing system improvements for healthcare providers. Through this work, Paris successfully established 19 community coalitions across the state of Illinois, convened over 300 providers, and executed more than 25 quality improvement projects.
Paris’ career has focused on promoting health and healthcare equity for historically vulnerable populations with an emphasis on health disparities and culturally competent interventions. She has previous experience managing community programs in Patient-Centered Medical Homes (PCMH), Medicaid & Medicare, and at the collegiate level.
Paris earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Physiology from Grand Valley State University; a Master’s of Science Degree in Public Health Education & Promotion from the University of Cincinnati and she is currently a Health Sciences Ph.D. candidate at Northern Illinois University. Paris also has credentials as a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), Post Masters Certificate in Health Informatics, and is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
